Cricket News India an outstanding Test match team, says Buttler
Birminghan: England’s wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler has called India an “outstanding Test match team”, as the two sides inched closer to Wednesday’s much-anticipated series opener at Edgbaston.India and England are set to lock horns in a five-match Test series.“It’s a great group and India are an outstanding Test match team so it is going to be a huge series for everyone involved, there are some great match-ups,” Buttler wrote in ‘Sky Sports’.“We’ll prepare well and have plans for individual players in the opposition but it also comes back to what we do well as a side and, especially in home conditions, what works for us. That’s what the guys will be focusing on.”Buttler’s highest Test score is 85, which he made on debut against India four years ago and he would look to reach his maiden three-digit figure in this series.“We’ve had an incredible summer and I don’t think we should moan about it too much but the pitches might be a bit drier. I’m sure English conditions – cloud cover and swing – will still be very prevalent in the series though.“I don’t think it’s going to be quite subcontinental conditions but in international cricket you need to adapt to all conditions, whether that be home or away. The side that does that the best will have a good series.”Buttler is anticipating a lot of support for the star-studded visiting side.“I’m sure there will be some great atmospheres over the new few weeks, the Indian fans are very loud and I’m sure there will be plenty of support for us, from the Barmy Army, in amongst it as well,” he wrote.“It should make for some really exciting Test matches in front of such good crowds.”Buttler also discussed the much-debated Test recall of Adil Rashid.“Since the squad for the first Test was announced last week there has been a lot of talk in the media about Adil Rashid’s inclusion – I think it’s a really exciting selection.“Adil is an immensely talented bowler and he’s bowling as well as I’ve seen him bowl at the minute, he’s had a fantastic summer. I’m sure it’s exciting for him and it’s exciting for English cricket to have him back.” For all the Latest Sports News News, Cricket News News, Download News Nation Android and iOS Mobile Apps.

Today’s MLB DFS Picks: Advice, strategy for Friday’s DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy baseball contests
We have to start of today’s MLB DFS Playbook by warning you about four games facing the possiblity of being delayed or postponed (and two, Braves-Indians and Twins-Orioles, that already have been). Giants-Pirates (73), Royals-Yankees (53), White Sox-Tigers (47), and Astros-Rangers (27) could all have weather issues. Double checking the Fantasy Alarm Weather Center before lineup lock of FanDuel and DraftKings contests will be a must.As for the now 12-game main slate tonight, there are plenty of solid pitchers available (even if a lot of the good ones are in the games mentioned above), and with games at Coors Field, Miller Park, Globe Life Park, and Yankee Stadium, there are plenty of good offensive situations to take advantage of. I won’t ever tell you not to play Verlander, especially when he’s facing a lineup that fans more than 25 percent against righthanded pitching. But I don’t love this matchup based on the fact that the Rangers are swinging some hot bats right now. So, why is Verlander here? Because the Rangers have been slapping around starters for the Angels and A’s over the past week, and there’s not a single member of either rotation who can hold Verlander’s jock. If you’re paying up, his swing-and-miss stuff should play very well here.J.T. Realmuto, C, Phillies @ Rockies. It’s Colorado, so why wouldn’t you want to look at paying up for Realmuto? He hits righthanders well, and while German Marquez looks great on the road, his lone home start against Atlanta was awful. Granted it’s just one start, but the career numbers also show that he’s a much better pitcher outside of Coors.MORE: Fantasy Alarm PRO ToolsDan Vogelbach, 1B, Mariners @ Angels. He’s still pricier than Edwin Encarnacion, so it’s definitely a tough choice. But if you’re playing GPPs, he’s obviously got the stronger home run potential. Everything is there from a statistical and launch-angle perspective, so if you’ve got the funds, he should be in a great place tonight.Mike Moustakas, 2B, Brewers vs. Dodgers. It’s almost becoming automatic that when there’s a righty on the mound, you start Moustakas. His numbers against them are outstanding and the ball flies off his bat in Miller Park. And come on — if they’re not going to start pricing him up, then I’ll take the play each and every time. The pricing here is only going to help you.Paul DeJong, SS, Cardinals vs. Mets. DeJong has been killing it this season, and he’s absolutely raking against southpaws to the tune of a .494 wOBA and 1.182 OPS. There is massive power potential here given Vargas’s 20-percent HR/FB rate. The price is nice and affordable on Fan Duel.Yoan Moncada, 3B, White Sox @ Tigers. The rain is expected to fall straight up to game time, so a delay seems pretty likely. So long as it isn’t a postponement, though, I think we’re OK using Moncada. His matchup against Zimmermann is rock-solid, as he thumps righthanded pitching, and if there’s a delay and Zimmermann comes out, guys like Buck Farmer or Drew VerHagen would likely try and eat some innings. If that’s the case, then keep me signed up here. Just track the Weather Center and we’ll keep you updated. Mike Trout, OF, Angels vs. Mariners. He’s the best in the game and for whatever reason, pitchers continue to go at him rather than pitch around him. If Marco Gonzales follows suit, he’s going to have a few blemishes on his pitching line. For more player recommendations and analysis, become a Fantasy Alarm subscriber today!
