There were a lot of interesting results at all levels for area football teams this weekend. First of all, the Cincinnati Bengals won their first game in Indianapolis against the Colts since 1997. The Bengals scored the last 24 points in defeating Andrew Luck’s Colts 34-23. The Bengals got the start they wanted in their opening game of the season. At the college level, nothing has changed with Purdue. They still play no defense and play without self-discipline. Purdue could be 2-0 if they would have just played by the rules. Other area teams are all off to a good start which includes Indiana, Cincinnati, and how about Ball State in their game against Notre Dame?At the high school level, East Central seems to be the best in the area again followed by the surprising South Dearborn Knights. Batesville and Oldenburg are both off to good starts.
